Hryvnia exchange rate expected to start stabilizing this week

Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak has forecasted that the hryvnia exchange rate will start stabilizing this week, and expects that the range will be UAH 13-13.50/$1.

This is what he told reporters in Kyiv on September 23, commenting on the results of a meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, top managers of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and commercial banks.

Shlapak said that the president ordered the NBU to work with commercial banks and banks to work with their exporters, so that the situation on the currency market stabilizes using administrative measures.
