ATO forces repel assault at checkpoint and destroy four militants

Ukrainian military repelled an assault at a checkpoint near Berezove by destroying two pairs of terrorists.

The ATO press center informs.

"The day before, during a routine check of vehicles on the checkpoint, located near Berezove, Ukrainian soldiers got under a mortar attack. Four of them were wounded because of the fire raid. Victims were given medical care, their evacuation to medical establishments was carried out. At 3:00 a.m. at night, the militants tried to storm this checkpoint. The attack was repulsed by coordinated efforts of our military. Losses of militants are up to four people a day," the Headquarters noted.

They also stressed that the intensity of attacks at positions of the ATO forces and controlled settlements significantly decreased. "At night, uncontrolled armed groups fired with mortars our positions in the area of Debaltseve and the settlements bordering on it," the press center added.
