BERLIN (UPI) -- The German contestant in the Eurovision Song Contest says she had nothing to do with her producer's gaming the selection process.Gracia Baur told the BBC that she will be in Kiev next week for the competition.



Producer David Brandes has admitted that he helped put Baur's single, "Run and Hide," on the charts by buying 2,000 copies himself.



He has been banned from attending the Eurovision competition and any artists he represents will not be on the charts in Germany for the next three months.



Brandes says that his act was justified because he needed to protect Baur from other artists who were manipulating the charts.He also said that she won a popular vote fair and square to become Germany's official entrant.
