The collegium of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will decide on SBU Deputy Chief Andriy Kyslynsky after it receives and studies the results of checks that will be conducted by the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine (MDCSU) on the authenticity of his diploma of higher education, the SBU press center reported.

The press center reported that SBU Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko had repeatedly said that the issue should be studied by the MDCSU, a government body that hires state employees. Ukrainian Education Minister Ivan Vakarchuk said on October 12 that the results of checks by the Education Ministry had confirmed that Kyslynsky had not studied at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University and had not received a respective diploma. Late in September this year, Chief of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's Main Office in Crimea, Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko MP Hennadiy Moskal said that Kyslynsky had used a forged document of higher education. He asked Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko to conduct checks on the authenticity of Kyslynsky's diploma. Kyslynsky served as deputy head of the Presidential Secretariat by mid June 2009. His activity on this post was marked by a number of loud statements made against Tymoshenko. He accused the premier of treason and supporting Russia's interests, however, none of his accusations have been confirmed.
