A memory lane has been laid down near the monument to Ukraine's liberators on the Ukrainian-Slovak border on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War (World War II).

Thirteen trees equivalent to the number of hero cities were planted on the lane, and a piece of soil from plaсes of military glory was laid under each sapling. Soil from hero cities was delivered to Zakarpattia region last autumn. Capsules with soil were passed for storage to the clergy of the Holy Protection Church in Uzhgorod.
