A few minutes ago, UkSATSE director Dmytro Babenchuk received a certificate stating UkSATSE is in compliance with all appropriate EU norms. The certificate was given by EASA Flight Standards Director Jesper Rasmussen in Cologne, Germany.
For the first time in history, the EU is opening up its skies for a non-member state, specifically in a portion of Slovakian airspace.
UkSATSE has demonstrated a complete adherence to European demands when it came to management systems and technical maintenance. This has shown once again the important role Ukraine plays in the European aviation community, and I sincerely hope that this will be a catalyst for the growth of transport infrastructure both in Western Ukraine, and in our country as a whole.
