This is what Petro Poroshenko said."When there is a parliamentary crisis, the only way out of this crisis is elections. We have already demonstrated it in the presidential elections, and I am confident that parliamentary elections should be held this year," he told a briefing in his headquarters on May 25.
"There is currently no coalition. In a situation of military occupation and the challenges now faced by Ukraine, the country cannot afford to have a parliament that blocks decisions that are, among other things, aimed at ensuring the country's defense potential," Poroshenko said. The politician also said there should be political responsiblity "for the events that have occurred, and for that decision, for the attempt to turn Ukraine into a totalitarian state, for the bills voted on January 16."
