President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is convinced that meetings at press conferences with journalists are necessary and promises to make them more regular.
He said this at a press conference Strategy 2020, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I will remind that before such press conferences were held in a format “annual press conference.” We will meet more often. I do not rule out that now, under conditions when large threats are concentrated, those meetings maybe quarterly or monthly,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, Ukrainians “must become accustomed that we are living in a different country and communication with journalists is different.”
“I read social networks, and I saw a flashmob “Speak with me.” You are welcome, I responded at once. Where will you find the President who responds so quickly to the flashmob?” he addressed journalists present in the hall, assuring that recently, before his interview to be broadcast for leading national TV channels, he did not adjust a single question beforehand.
