UEFA EURO-2012 airports task force starts functioning in Ukraine

The Ministry of Transport of Ukraine called the first meeting of the task force on development and implementation of 2010 operational plans for the functioning of airports in the host cities during the 2012 European Football Championship.

The task force includes representatives of the major airports that will service UEFA Euro-2012, the State Customs Service, State Border Service, Ukraerorukh, as well as specialized departments and divisions of the State Aviation Administration. They will settle the questions of slot-control of airports, navigation systems work, technological equipment supply, airport personnel services, development of program for training additional staff, organization of facilitated formalities at checkpoints on the state border, and other aspects of the functioning of airports at the time of the Football Championship. In December 2009, UEFA finally approved Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Donetsk as the host cities for Euro-2012.
