Cruz Azul hosts Monterrey in the biggest game of the weekend in Mexico, as the Clausura 2012 passes its halfway point.

Morelia is two points clear in first place at the moment and, on paper, has a very winnable game away at last-placed Queretaro.

“It´s going to be very nice for me to return home, that´s how I consider it,” Delgado told Mexican sports newspaper Récord this week. “It´s coming back to a home where I lived for a long time and I have a lot of beautiful memories.”

The forward, who joined Monterrey last summer, has vowed not to celebrate if he does put the ball in the back of the net for Monterrey.

At the bottom end of the table, Estudiantes Tecos are getting desperate in their bid to avoid relegation and need points against Tijuana on Friday. The Xolos only need 10 more points to be completely safe from the drop in its first season in the Primera Division.

    Full schedule this weekend:

Monterrey sits in third place in the league, while Cruz Azul is ninth, with both teams only having lost one game in the first eight of the season.
