Liubov Trif: Our Strongest Competitors Are Ourselves!

Dreams should come true, and business ideas should be realized. This is the belief of our heroine, makeup and hair stylist Liubov Trif. She confidently strides towards her goals, bringing bold business projects to life step by step.

Beauty services have always been and will continue to be in high demand. However, this factor wasn't the key in her choice of profession as a makeup artist. Despite always beautifying her friends in school, she dreamt of becoming a physical education teacher since childhood. But as the saying goes, you can't escape fate. Life circumstances led her to choose this fascinating and inspiring profession.

At the age of 20, Liubov Trif graduated from the Odessa Higher Vocational School of Services of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" with a specialty in hairdressing and design. She then returned to her hometown of Reni to build her career.

Beautifying others is true magic. Applying makeup and styling hair, a makeup artist sees themselves as both an artist and an architect. Instead of a painting or a structural masterpiece, they create a face and construct a hairstyle. All the while, they remember Coco Chanel's rule: "Taking care of beauty, you must start with the heart and soul, otherwise, no makeup will help".

When she first had satisfied clients, Liubov knew she was on the right path. As her client base grew, she needed to open her own studio. Initially, it was a rented apartment converted into a beauty studio, which later evolved into the full-fledged beauty salon “One Touch Studio”, where Liubov worked with other professionals. She had an innate sense of what a good master needed for successful work. Therefore, she focused on client comfort and service, as well as a convenient workspace. This resulted in a unique blend of aesthetics and functionality.

Her love for her work drove Liubov Trif to continually develop and perfect her skills. In July 2021, she completed training at the Anna Komarova Academy, earning a diploma as a wedding stylist. Her works began to appear in renowned magazines such as Imirage Magazine-Spark (September 2021) and Top Posters (November 2021). With sufficient professional experience, she started mentoring, teaching makeup techniques to dozens of students.

After moving with her family to the USA in June 2022, she continued her career in the beauty industry. Initially, she worked at LaRosh&Adel Spa Salon (Houston, Texas) and later, after moving to Washington state, obtained a license and started working at "The White Birch" salon, where she remains today.

Throughout this time, Liubov Trif has aimed to enhance her skills, create new trends, and stay current, looking up to world-renowned makeup artists. In November 2022, she spoke at an online makeup marathon on the topic "Color Smokey Eyes" (organized by Marafon_fest1, Marafon Makeup), and in March 2023, she was a speaker at an online hairstyle marathon on the topic "Low Bun" (organized by Oksana Dan, stylist-makeup artist, wedding stylist). She is actively working on developing cosmetic guides. Her scientific article "ECOLOGY AND TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF COSMETIC BRANDS AND THEIR IMPACT ON FUTURE MAKEUP" is ready for publication. Her works continue to appear not only in the pages but also on the covers of top magazines: Style Cruze (December 2022) and 6x (September 2023). Her 2023 achievements include participating in and reaching the semifinals of one of the most famous global online competitions, IBI Beauty Awards, created in New York. In 2024, thanks to her persistence and hard work, she won the category "Best Bridal Makeup" in the same competition.

Liubov Trif is a member of The International Association of Makeup Artists (IAMA) and the International Association of Professional Makeup Artists (IAPO). Young, goal-oriented, ambitious, extraordinary, and extremely responsible, she enjoys exploring new brands, technologies, and products, evolving herself and helping others to do the same. In her work, she always adheres to the golden rule of makeup artists: transform clients so they look as natural as possible. Even in bridal makeup, her main principle remains enhancing the bride's natural beauty.

Care, quality, and atmosphere are the three components of success that Liubov Trif defined for herself long ago and consistently follows in her career. She has much to aspire to, as her years of experience, creative approach, and professional achievements motivate her to realize her new goal — opening her own beauty salon in the USA. Her plan is to create not just a salon, but a magical beauty space where both employees and clients will feel happy in many aspects.
