Airports' handling capacity for UEFA EURO 2012 - 13,700 passengers/hour

Total handling capacity of four Ukrainian airports for UEFA EURO 2012 will make up 13,700 passengers/hour, Board of Directors for preparation and holding EURO 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine informs.

In particular, a project for development of the Kyiv airport envisages reconstruction of S and F platforms of the existing B terminal, construction of new terminals D and F, construction of new parking lots. The airport's handling capacity is 6,000 passengers per hour with UEFA requirements of slightly over 4,000. The Donetsk airport development project envisages construction of a new runway, construction of new platforms and reconstruction of existing platforms, construction of a new airdrome flying control tower, reconstruction of the existing terminal, construction of a new terminal facility and a temporary terminal.
