Cash dollar down, euro up

The average rate of purchase of the cash US dollar at Ukrainian banks Friday, compared with Thursday, fell by 0.40 kopeks to 7.9300 UAH. The selling rate of the US currency fell by 0.29 kopeks to 7.9558 UAH. The maximum purchase rate is 7.9450 UAH, the minimum selling rate 7.9400 UAH.

The average rate of buying the euro rose by 5.44 kopeks to 10.9605 UAH, sales rate by 6.80 kopeks to 11.1357 UAH. One can sell the euro at maximum 11.0500 UAH and buy at minimum 11.0300 UAH. The average rate of purchase of 10 Russian rubles on Thursday rose by 2.6 kopeks up to 2.743 UAH for 10 Russian rubles. The selling rate rose by 3.0 kopeks to 2.832 UAH. The maximum rate of cash purchase offered by banks is 2.800 UAH for 10 rubles, the minimum selling rate 2.790 UAH.

Central bank sets currency exchange rates
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates of the hryvnia to foreign currencies for 04.03.2011 at: 100USD - 793.7000 UAH (=); 100EUR - 1099.2745 UAH (+); 10RUB - 2.8023 UAH (+).

Since the beginning of the year the official USD/UAH rate has fallen by 0.31%. The top USD/UAH rate to have been set by the central bank was reported on 05.11.2009 at 8.0148.
