ESC Stage Components Arrive to Kyiv
The first shipment of special triple plied glass arrived at Palats Sportu which will be used in the construction of the stage for Eurovision. Last year in Istanbul the glass stage did not stand up to the flaming performance of Ruslana and because of this the organizers this year will take additional measures to ensure the performances of all performers.
The glass that will be used for the stage this year has a number of layers glued together with a special layer of film, so that it will be more elastic as opposed to being rigid. The upper layer will be composed of special tempered glass.
The authors of the project promise that the floor will be really unusual. The use of glass will allow effects to be create, that make the performers appear to be flying in mid air.
ESC 2005
Awakening
According to an old legend, there is only one time during the year that the flower of the grape fern blooms, and if only one person, the most important and incredibly soulful person, will be able to see its unearthly beauty and the flames of a rainbow of the northern lights, and then receive the secret of wisdom and happiness…
While another legend, a legend of more contemporary times, is that only once a year and an exhibit of song does European unity bloom, and only one individual will breakthrough to win Eurovision, and thus open a new world for themselves…
But everyone can find their own grape fern at Eurovision in Ukraine – and to maintain that fire in their heart for ever. To be transformed and to see the world as a friendly and close place, to hear its authenticity and modernity at the same time, so to say as something that is harmonious. Open that harmony in oneself; fill yourself with explosive energy and the fresh wind from Ukraine. Find your own awakening, your spiritual space in Ukraine.
Innovative and new, open and poetic – this is how we see the Ukrainian world and let it be that this vision will remain in our memories of Eurovision in Ukraine.
