The government has today presented a draft state budget of Ukraine for 2010 to the parliament
When presenting the document, deputy Finance Minister Anatoliy Myarkovsky called it a 'fully balanced'.
Thus, the draft state budget envisages growth of the real sector of economy at 3.7% and the nominal GDP will rise to UAH 1,178 trillion (USD 1 - UAH 8.0), the deputy minister said. The budget revenues in 2010, taking into account the return of UAH 4.5 billion of loans and loan extension at UAH 11.72 billion, are set at UAH 275.3 billion, spending - UAH 324.2 billion. The fiscal deficit will post 3.98% of GDP. All local budgets will be balanced without deficit. The government suggests covering the deficit at the expense of earnings from privatization and borrowings, both foreign and domestic. In particular, the government hopes to get UAH 10 billion from privatization and to borrow UAH 36.7 billion. The unemployment rate among able-bodied population will be 8.1%, while the growth rates of labor capacity will be 2.8%.
