Head of State positively estimates actions by local authorities in regions hit by natural disaster

This is what Viktor Yushchenko said in the Transcarpathian village of Bohdan while estimating work of authorities at the local level and in particular in Transcarpathia at the journalists' requests.
"On the whole, the local authorities and local self-government bodies showed many good examples of their mobility, efficiency and they deserve high appreciation", V. Yushchenko said. At the same time, the Head of State noted that there were some cases where response of local leaders might have been more effective.
