BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - It's been the deadliest day in Iraq since a suicide bombing attack last month. The military says a roadside bomb killed seven
U-S soldiers in northwest Baghdad today. And two Marines were killed in action in western Iraq.
The seven killed in the bombing were with Task Force Baghdad. The military says their Bradley fighting vehicle hit an explosive, killing everyone inside.
The military did not provide any details on the other killings. The nine American deaths made it the highest single-day toll for the U-S military in Iraq since a December 21st suicide bombing in Mosul killed 22 people, including 14 U-S soldiers and three American contractors.
