Rizak, ex-Governor of Zakarpatie, was detained in Uzhgorod

Yuriy Lutsenko, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has confirmed the fact of detention of Ivan Rizak, former Head of Zakarpatie Regional State Administration."The information was checked, he was detained in Uzhgorod. He is suspected of reduction of rector of local University to suicide, and, in accordance with sanction of Prosecuting Office, he was detained in Zakarpatie region", - the Minister said.



"The case will be investigated, the court will determine either further detention or release due to a written undertaking not to leave a place or some other variant not later than within 72 hours", - Lutsenko noted.
