Since the beginning of this year, Transcarpathian producers have increased their exports to the EU by 10.6%, while imports have decreased by 11.4%.
As of January 1, 2015, the share of EU countries in total foreign trade turnover of the region is 62.1%. The share of exports to the EU is 84.7% of total exports, and the share of imports is 44.1%.
The region exports goods mainly to Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Germany and Poland. The largest amounts of import come to the region from Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Italy.
