Ukraine and Romania discussed state and prospects for development of inter-parliamentary cooperation

    The Verkhovna Rada's delegation headed by Chairman of the Committee for European Integration Borys Tarasiuk visited Bucharest.

    During their visit, Ukrainian delegates met deputies from both chambers of the Romanian parliament, particularly President of the Romanian Senate Mircea Geoana, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate Titus Corlatean, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies Viorel Hrebenciuc, as well as the heads and members of the parliamentary group of friendship with Ukraine. The participants in the talks discussed the current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, the promotion of their cooperation at the level of committees and groups of friendship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Romanian parliament, the strengthening of the role of legislative bodies in both countries in the deepening of bilateral relations in the political, economic and humanitarian sectors, in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and cross-border and regional cooperation.
