Ukraine to create national bureau of investigation

Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko said on Saturday that the new service would consolidate all investigation agencies and the counterintelligence service.

It will be incorporated into the Security Service of Ukraine.



The Security Service will also include national intelligence to absorb all intelligence structures in the country.



Former prime minister Viktor Yanukovich, who lost the presidential election to opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko, proposed to create a national bureau of investigation during his election campaign.
