Ukraine withdraws 70 troops from Iraq

Ukraine has flown 70 troops home from Iraq, completing the first stage of withdrawal.
The Defense Department plan says it will withdraw its 1,600 troops from the country in three stages, to be completed by the end of 2005.



Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said Ukraine will continue to participate in Iraq's reconstruction and development after the troops leave the country.
