Russia and Ukraine to proceed with $560 mln gas pipeline project

Russia and Ukraine, after many months of delay, apparently agreed to go ahead with a natural gas pipeline project to boost capacity of gas transit system shipping gas to the European Union.



The parties agreed to quickly select contractors for building a $560 mln gas pipeline link between Uzhgorod and Bohorodchany in order to begin construction before the end of the year, Naftogaz Ukrayiny reported.
