Floods threaten Transcarpathia again

Storm alert has been declared in Ukraine's western Transcarpathia region (Zakarpattia) due to heavy rains and higher water level in the local rivers on Tuesday, the emergencies authorities reported.

The region is facing heavy rains, storms. Moreover, after severe rains the water level is expected to rise up to 1.5 meters in the local rivers. According to the authorities, with heavy rains the water level may temporarily rise in small rivers and mudflows may threaten the mountains.
