Luhansk terrorists are using the symbols of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the shelling of residential neighbourhoods, deliberately discrediting the Ukrainian army.

The press officer of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters, Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky, said this during a Skype conference at Ukrinform on Monday. "The terrorists in Luhansk are using the symbols of the Ukrainian army - the flags of the Airborne Troops and Ukraine - to discredit the Ukrainian army and show the residents of Luhansk that there are being attacked by the Ukrainian army," he said. According to the spokesman, reports of the alleged shelling of residential districts by the security forces are being actively spread among residents of Luhansk.

Terrorists have resumed the shelling of Luhansk with Grad multiple rocket launchers.

Some powerful shots were heard at about 13.30 in four districts in the city. Then sporadic shots and explosions were heard after a short pause. Witnesses believe that the terrorists were shelling at the bus station and the airport. Streets in the city are practically empty.
