Six coffins containing the remains of victims of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing passenger aircraft that was shot down over Donetsk region on July 17 have been sent to the Netherlands from the Kharkiv International Airport, a Ukrinform correspondent has reported.

Dutch Security and Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten at a briefing at the airport expressed gratitude for a very important memorial ceremony for the victims of the crash, which was organized at the airport. He said that this was the final flight conducted this year, but the work would continue in March. He also expressed hope that all remains of the crash victims would be sent to the Netherlands.

The minister said that the remains of 289 plane crash victims had currently been identified.

As reported, the Malaysian Boeing passenger plane was downed over Donetsk region on July 17. All 298 people on board were killed.
