This was disclosed by ATO spokesman Andriy Lysenko at a briefing in Kyiv on December 22."No soldiers have been killed or injured as a result of armed clashes over the past 24 hours," he said. Earlier, the ATO press center said that militants had fired at Ukrainian military positions six times in the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has assured conscripts would not be sent to the zone of the anti-terrorist operation.

"Our position is as follows: we are renewing military conscription, which will allow us in the first quarter to ensure the demobilization of those conscripts, who were called a year or a year and a half ago. Denying the sending of conscripts to the ATO area will be de facto the training of quality reserve, people who will have relevant experience," the president said, opening a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in Kyiv on December 20.
